What Is The Pink Coffee Party?

The Pink Coffee Party is Canada’s emerging daytime coffee-and-dance cultural movement — a category-creating event format blending specialty coffee culture, EDM and house music, community wellness, pink fashion, and Pride celebration into one unforgettable outdoor experience.

The Pink Coffee Party

Origin Story

The Pink Coffee Party was born from an unlikely crossover. John Dee — a veteran EDM DJ and former club owner of Area 51, with sets at The Reverb, Opera House, Cherry Beach, Moonshadow Collective, Deep Sea Fish, and various underground Toronto clubs — traded late-night sets for early morning pours at The Pink Cafe in Cobourg, Ontario.

Rather than leaving the energy behind, he channeled it into a new format: the daytime coffee rave. The result is The Pink Coffee Party — where community, creativity, and caffeine collide.

The Format

  • Specialty coffee culture — organic, fair trade brews and café hospitality
  • EDM and house music — live DJ sets from Toronto’s underground scene
  • Community wellness — fitness activations and movement
  • Pink fashion and aesthetic — a shared visual identity
  • Social media moments — 360 selfie booths and shareable content
  • Pride celebration — inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming community values

A Pride Event at Heart

The Pink Coffee Party is a Pride event. This is core to the brand — inclusive, celebratory, and community-driven. Every Pink Coffee Party is a safe, joyful space for the LGBTQ+ community and all allies.

Where It Started

The first Pink Coffee Party took place at The Pink Cafe, 205 3rd Street, Cobourg, Ontario — a specialty café known for its crêpes, waffles, and vibrant pink aesthetic. The outdoor patio is the original stage.

The vision is national. The Pink Coffee Party is being built as a trademarkable phrase, a franchisable event format, and a tourable activation — with city-specific events, national sponsorships, and an expanding community on the horizon.
